They came, they cooked, they conquered!

It all happened at the Coca-Cola Dome on Thursday 31 July 2014, for the Good Food and Wine Show 2014, where Goldcrest brought Only the Finest to the day with the finals of the Goldcrest Young Chefs of the Year 2014. Amidst a symphony of colour, texture and aromas, our young chefs took to their stations and worked their magic second to none! True cooking with gas!
Our competition has become something of an institution in the food world – where young chefs under the age of 25 compete for the esteemed title of Goldcrest Young Chef of the Year. This year’s lucky winner is set to receive a culinary experience of a lifetime: a food experiential in happening food hot-spot Singapore – with renowned Chef Rick Stephens.
Six finalists competed, under the watchful eye of a hugely impressive team of judges –all professional chefs at the top of their game. Our hosts for the show? The talented and skilful Chef Jodi-Ann Pearton and the irrepressible TV celebrity, Harry Sideropoulos. The challenge was to prepare a deliciously different three-course meal – using at least two Goldcrest products.
The day was truly a showcase of Goldcrest at its best – proving how the brand, as ‘the next best thing to fresh’, offers premium quality, versatility and excitement to cooking. Dishes ranged from Slow-Cooked Pork Belly, with caramelised Goldcrest Baby Apples to Poached Hake Fillet with Goldcrest Coconut Milk and Goldcrest Honeycomb Crumble. Mmmmmmm…..
